spring stool
Originally manufactured in the early 1920’s, spring stools were used by dentists. Then, in the 1950’s the mechanism was installed in race car seats in order to make the ride more bearable. A modern twist and updated design bring this stool into the 21st century. With a comfortable seat and smooth springs, it encourages proper posture and frequent movement.

Researching posture allowed me to understand proper positioning for the spine. It also allowed me to design for mobility and comfort.
